Why I bought a brick…

About a year ago, I heard about a new museum they wanted to build in Killeen, Texas just outside of Fort Hood. The team spoke of something that would rival every military museum in the country. Something that would honor all the men and women who’ve served our country as “Mounted Warriors.” Like on horses? I thought. Yes…but that’s just the beginning.

They showed me some pictures and this museum is going to be incredible. It will have massive exhibits. Tanks. Helicopters. And demonstrations from the 1st Cavalry’s horse detachment.

I wanted to be part of something timeless like this. So when I found out they were helping raise funds through a brick campaign, I was in. Not only was it a way for a “civilian” like to me be part of something great and support our military, but it offered me a way to honor my grandfather who served in the Army Air Corp during World War II.

Bricks are VERY reasonable ($100) and will be absolutely timeless. I can’t wait to take my kids to the museum, teach them about the bravery of our military, and show them that their Great Grandfather was part of this proud heritage.
