Teaching Texas History through Hats

By Todd White | March 21, 2014

Recently I had the opportunity to be a part of Texas day at the school at First Baptist Church in Georgetown. It was a day focused on all things Texas and obviously I was excited! The settlers of Texas wore many hats and each left their mark on this great state. What better way to teach Texas history to a group of kids than to get them involved in wearing some of the hats of our settlers. From Native Americans to Pirates to Germans to the classic Cowboy…we explored the heritage of Texas…Daytripper style.
