Teaching Texas History through Hats

By Todd White | March 21, 2014

Recently I had the opportunity to be a part of Texas day at the school at First Baptist Church in Georgetown. It was a day focused on all things Texas and obviously I was excited! The settlers of Texas wore many hats and each left their mark on this great state. What better way to teach Texas history to a group of kids than to get them involved in wearing some of the hats of our settlers. From Native Americans to Pirates┬áto Germans to┬áthe classic Cowboy…we explored the heritage of Texas…Daytripper style.
